Rachel Dolezal and Racial Identification

This whole mess with Rachel Dolezal really gets under my skin. People coming to her defense saying even though shes white she identifies as black. Even Rachel said..“Well, I definitely am not white. Nothing about being white describes who I am.”....So what defines being white or black? Does perming her hair or watching Empire give her some sort of blackness? Does straightening her hair or playing golf make her white? The notion that she identifies herself within the parameters of "being black" is just the kind of racist rubbish liberals love to excuse as progressive thought. I was taught growing up that everyone was "the same" , yet it seems like nowadays people are constantly reminding us of our racial/gender/religious differences. All these "activists" acting under the guise of diversity/equality are overly invested in their own special interest group to the point where it becomes a devisive distraction. But hey according to Rachel, I'm not even allowed to talk about these things. Seems a little ironic coming from a "civil rights" leader, that my freedom of speech should be negated by the color of my skin.....
Anti-racism activist Tim Wise revealed that secretly-white NAACP chapter head Rachel Dolezal tried to stop him from speaking at a college because she felt Caucasians shouldn’t talk about racism. What do you think?

“She was trying to keep me from coming to speak at Eastern Washington University, where she was a part-time professor, because in her estimation white folks can’t speak with any legitimacy to issues of racism,” Wise said in an interview with SiriusXM Radio host Mark Thompson. “Let the irony marinate there for a minute.”What do you think?

But my issue isn't so much with Rachel, but with the public response. The whole liberal narrative is just so contradictory.

MLK wanted people to be judged by the content of their character not the color of their skin. People seem to overlook or twist this basic concept. People constantly associate certain characteristics with skin color, in both positive and negative ways. Being good at math (asian) being good at sports (black) etc, etc, etc, etc, etc..trust me the list goes on and on. Anyone who doesnt fit into these generalizations is seen as "trying to be __ (insert race here)"......And that's at the core of this whole article/issue. She thinks she can be "transracial" by "acting black", therefore reinforcing the same exact racial stereotyping she is supposedly fighting against, and people support her ideals...
